the 26 people that came to my house for dinner on Friday!
The 35 lbs of turkey 20 roasted 15 smoked,
a big ole' ham,
15 lbs of mashed potatoes,
sweet potatoes,
stuffing,
dinner rolls,
bread bowl with dill dip,
snicker salad,
fruit salad,
jello salad,
green bean casserole,
relish tray with dip,
taco dip with chips,
deviled eggs,
chocolate pudding dessert,
banana toffee pie,
key lime pie,
pumpkin cheese cake,
pumpkin whoopie pies,
birthday cake,
cranberry cider,
coffee,
hot cocoa,
pop.
Yes that is a super long list! That is what we had on Black Friday. That is when my family came over to celebrate Thanksgiving. I'm super duper thankful that everyone could make it (except 2 of my brothers, and they were both in warm places, so I'm not so sure I'm speaking to them anymore anyway:) We had a great time and we for sure need to try and get together more often!

Did you know that...

A bathroom sink drain isn't that hard to take apart, when someone fills the sink with cut hair and water and then half the hair clogs the drain.

Or did you know just how much dental floss comes in one of those teeny tiny little things from the dentist. Ummm yeah, 12 yards! And just fyi...it's enough for a 2 year old to pretty much cover his entire arm...SOLID. From armpit to wrist:)

I'm sure by the time this day is over this list could be a mile long and maybe if I'm still standing and haven't pulled all my hair out I'll keep adding to it:)

I'm finding out there are lots of things I don't know, and I'm thankful I have four healthy, sweet little people to help me find them out:) Just fyi kids... Mommy doesn't have to know everything:)

Living History Farms Pictures

These pictures don't do justice, but they are all I've got. I will write more later. But right now I'm sooooo tired. I'm going to snuggle up with my personal heater AKA Jacob! and take a looong n.a.p. Jake thinks we're snuggling to watch Thomas:)

Weekends:)

Weekends have never really been something that excited me all that much. It was just another day. Now that I'm working though weekends are a wonderful break! This weekend I did the Joseph's Diamond Dash in downtown, with Justin. We were trying to win a $12,000.00 diamond for the sweet Diana. I'm not a very good navigator of downtown and I had to make a few calls to my sweet sister, who did continue to answer the phone even though every time I said, hey do you know this answer, then once I received the answer I promptly hung up in order to keep playing! It was all through downtown, including the sculpture park. So later Saturday night we took the kids downtown and walked through it just as it was getting dark. It was a ton of fun and most of the sculptures were very cool all lit up. Then we rented a movie and came home and ate a quick fun dinner while we watched the movie. It was so simple and cheap, but so much fun. I'm amazed how much fun we can have when we just enjoy each others company! I will definitely be trying to arrange more fun cheap/free stuff for us to do on weekends to come!

Halloween

This year I had it easy. I didn't have to sew one costume! (last year Jocee was a spider and Ashleigh was a frog) This year I had a headless man, a cowgirl, a pumpkin, and a parrott/bird. The weather wasn't that great but the kids still had a blast and got a TON of candy. So very so I will be weighing in at a little over a ton:) Once again pictures coming, I can't type and upload all in one setting of course:)

My Sweet Little Pumpkin Loses TWO teeth!

I'm sooo not ready to have three "big" kids! In the last two weekends Jocee has lost a tooth. When she kept telling me she had a loose tooth, I of course was a great mother, and said, Oh yeah maybe soon. Then a couple weeks ago I took everyone to the dentist. When she came out the dentist said yeah her teeth were loose and it was fine. She would probably lose them soon. So here we are. She just seems like she isn't old enough to lose teeth. She is a little younger than the other kids, but I think it is more me not wanting to face that my babes are growing so quickly! (I will be posting a picture of her later. I can't find the usb thing to upload the pics!)

Wow! That is about all I can say right now. Why is it that even when I avoid being in the word, because, of course, I'm way too busy, God can still convict me? Hmmm weird:) Been a rough week or so for me! But now I'm back in the game! 1 Cor. 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. I forgot for a while, good thing God is such a good rememberer/reminder!:) Just ask Jocee, I'm a forgetful mommy!
